Chestnut Mews is in an almost unbeatable location set in the semi rural outskirts of the picturesque Shanklin Old Village. Our cottages are a perfect base to relax and enjoy all that the local area and the Isle of Wight has to offer.
Our modern and charming three bedroom cottages provide comfortable accommodation for up to 6 guests (or 5 and a cot). Our cottages are fully equipped to a very high standard. They are centrally heated and are inclusive of bedding, towels and utilities. Subject to availability, our guests at Honeysuckle & Jasmine Cottages also have complimentary use of the leisure facilities of a neighbouring third party establishment, which are within walking distance and include an indoor pool with Jacuzzi and small gym.
Upstairs the cottages have three well proportioned bedrooms. The master bedroom is a double, with an en-suite shower room with French doors opening onto a balcony with views over the garden. The second is a twin bedded room with views over the Mews entrance. The third / middle room is a twin with a single bed, and a choice of either a pull-out full size single bed or a travel cot. There is also a family bathroom with full size bath.
Downstairs the cottages are open plan, with a spacious kitchen, dinning area and lounge, equipped with all the appliances required to make your stay a home from home experience. There is also a downstairs toilet/cloak room. French doors open out from the lounge onto an enclosed decked patio area, Honeysuckle and Jasmine overlook the large, mature garden and children's 'little tykes' play area and wooden play house. Clematis Cottage has its own enclosed garden with children's 'little tykes' play set.
The cottages are fitted with Kiddy guard stair gates (top and bottom of stairs) and have highchairs and bed guards available if needed.
The cottages include: Flat Screen Colour TV with free to view sky channels, WiFi, iPod docking station, CD and DVD Player, playstation 2, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, clock-radios, travel cots and a barbeque for the summer evenings. There is a selection of books, DVD's, and PS2 games in each cottage and a selection of children's toys.
Chestnut Mews is set in a beautiful secluded location accessible via a private gated road. At the front of the cottages there is ample off road parking on the premises. In the garden there is a lockable shed for bicycles, sports equipment etc; the availability of which is subject to pre booking.
